Applies to: Caring Minds (“Caring Minds,” “we,” “us,” “our”) websites, emails, and other online services that provide our educational program (the “Services”).
Primary jurisdiction and venue: United States, California.
Health information: Caring Minds provides educational content and is not a healthcare provider. The Services are not intended for submitting or storing protected health information (PHI). Please do not share private health information in forms or messages. If we ever offer a clinical program, that program will provide its own HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which will govern that information.

This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our Services, sign up for updates, participate in surveys, or contact us.
3) Audience and children's privacy
Our Services are intended for individuals 16+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us to delete it.

Platforms you use to sign in or follow links from (if enabled), consistent with their disclosures and your settings.
d) Sensitive information (limited)
You might share health-related context in free-text fields. We use it only to respond to your request, do not sell or share it for cross-context advertising, and do not use it to infer characteristics. We apply heightened safeguards and minimize retention.
5) How we use information (purposes)
Provide & operate the Services (deliver educational content, maintain functionality, communicate service notices).
Improve & personalize (understand usage, fix bugs, enhance accessibility and inclusivity).
Communicate (respond to inquiries; send updates you request or consent to).
Safety & compliance (detect/prevent abuse, enforce terms, comply with law, protect rights and safety).
Research & reporting (produce aggregated, de-identified statistics to evaluate program reach and impact).
We use de-identified or aggregated information where feasible.
6) Legal bases outside the U.S. (if you visit from abroad)
Where required (e.g., EEA/UK), we rely on legitimate interests to operate and improve our Services, consent for optional analytics/marketing, contract to provide requested services, and legal obligations for recordkeeping and compliance.
7) How we share information
We do not sell personal information and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.
We disclose information to:
Service providers/processors under contract (hosting, security, analytics, email delivery).
Authorities or others when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
Successors in a reorganization/merger involving Caring Minds (subject to this Policy).
8) Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it. Typical periods:
Account/contact records: while your account is active and for up to 2 years after last interaction.
Support and moderation logs: up to 2 years.
Backups: up to 90 days on a rolling basis.
We may adjust periods to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

Communications: You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails via the link in our messages.
Cookies/analytics: Use our Cookie Settings (where provided) and your browser/device controls.
10) California privacy notice (CPRA)
If you reside in California, you have the right to:
Know the categories of personal information we collect, the sources, purposes, and categories of disclosures.
Access and port specific pieces of personal information.
Delete personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
Correct inaccurate information.
Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (we only use such information, if any, for limited, permitted purposes).
Opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not sell or share).
Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
Submitting a request: Email caringminds.usa@gmail.com with “CPRA Request,” describe your request, and provide information we need to verify your identity. Authorized agents may submit on your behalf with proof of authorization.
12) Cookies & tracking:
We use only strictly necessary cookies to operate the site. We don’t use advertising cookies. You can control cookies via your browser settings.
13) Security:
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the data we handle, but no method is 100% secure.
14) International visitors
Your information may be processed in the United States, where laws may differ from those in your country. When required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
