Her commitment to human-centered design and behavioral interventions reflects her dedication to improving public health and promoting positive aging experiences.In 2008, after moving to the United States without a support network, Carey found solace in her landlord, Judy, who later developed Alzheimer's disease. This personal experience inspired Carey to create platforms that detect early signs of cognitive impairment, empowering individuals and families to take proactive health measures.Through Yohocare, Carey strives to provide compassionate, holistic support and innovative digital health solutions, aiming for a future where those affected by dementia are empowered to thrive.Carey’s previous roles as an Ambassador for Aging 2.0 Sunnyvale and as a Member of the Age-friendly Community Advisory Group reflect her ongoing commitment to supporting senior well-being and community-driven initiatives.In her free time, Carey enjoys singing and engaging in crafts, activities that bring her joy and relaxation.
